277 South started in the small town of Sonora, TX years ago at jam sessions and small events. After all the years of moving and going off in different dirrections, it's all settled down a strip of one road, HWY 277 South.
Trey Rushing - has been writing and performing his own songs for close to 20 years. Trey started with strong country influences like George Strait and the great Hank Williams,
but has expanded his range to rock and even christian since his spiritual awakening and deep passion for the Lord. Trey is currently playing a Seagull acoustic/electric and a Schecter C-1 as his main stage guitars.
Tom Bob Wilson - Tom has been playing guitar since the age of 9. After learning the basics, Tom began listening to fingerstyle guitarists such as Chet Atkins, Merle Travis and Jerry Reed, which led to him using a thumb pick and three fingernails to pick with. Tom later found influence from other greats, such as rock and blues artists like Jimi Hendrex, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Albert King and Eric Clapton and even jazz masters like Les Paul, Django Reinhardt, Wes Montgomory and Lenny Breau. Tom is a gear nut and at the time is playing a Fender Tele Plus with Texas Special tele bridge,hotrail mid, and mini humbucker neck, Gibson SG 57 classic neck, 57 classic plus bridge, G&L Legacy SD little 59 neck and bridge, Fender Deluxe Players Strat with vintage noiseless PUs, a short scale Ventura bass converted to a Bass VI with Lace Sensor silver PUs and a 1960 Gretsch 6120 with TV Jones PUs among others thru a '69 Fender Twin Reverb, a Peavey all-tube Blues Classic and a Silvertone 1484 Twin 12 amp.
Kelly Kingston - Kelly is a extremely talented musician who began at an early age playing in fiddle contests and later begin playing bass. She has played everything from classical to metal and is as at home with the Symphony playing bowed double bass, slapping the upright with a country band or tearing up her BC Rich Warlock with a rock band.
Brandon Smith - As the newest member of the band, Brandon has brought a tremendous talent and wonderful sense of timing to 277 South. He has already proven to be a huge asset to the band.
