Crazywater is an original independent mix of alt-country and southern rock with a no rules attitude towards songwriting. Calling their style "Electric Americana" Crazywater has a sound and vision that continues to evolve with the writing each new song.
Hailing from west of the Dallas/Ft Worth metroplex, Crazywater has been able to gain attention across the great state of Texas within a short period of time. The writing sessions that led to the formation of the group go back to early 2007, where live shows and demo recordings soon followed.
With influences ranging from The Eagles to Son Volt and Johnny Cash, the bands high energy sound lends its self well to the earthy and sometimes introspective lyrics that accompany the band’s music.
Crazywater's songs showcase the bittersweet dichotomy of small town Texas living and the simple wisdom that comes from it. From the haunting strains of "Walk Alone" and "Ghosts of Mineral Wells", to the rowdy upbeat road song "$1000.00", Crazywater cuts an interesting channel both lyrically and sonically through the current Texas music landscape. The band is currently spending its time playing live shows and promoting their 2012 debut studio self titled album, "Crazywater."
